For this project in particular, I chose to redesign an advertisement for The Ugly Noserider surfboard company. This advertisement was designed to be published digitally so I redesigned it on Adobe Photoshop. I kept the original text and information of the original advertisement, but changed the typeface to add emphasis to the most important parts. I also arranged the text of the advertisement in a Z- pattern. This draws the viewers eyes to the most important information from top to bottom. The sizing of the text on the advertisement also puts emphasis on the most important information.  I chose contrasting colors for the text to help each part stand out on busy backgrounds and for the purpose of creating contrast between the brand slogan and the logo on the surfboard. The original advertisement was obviously for a surfboard, but  the theme and overall visual appeal weren't pleasing. I chose to add elements of water by making the background dark swells in the ocean and pairing the winter waters with a girl in a beanie holding a surfboard.
